October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Breast Imaging Kingston (BIK) is inviting women, Two-Spirit, trans and nonbinary individuals aged 40 and older to participate in a fun, relaxed evening focused on breast health and screening.
Hosted by Rose of Hope Clinical Chair in Breast Health, Dr. Doris Jabs, the event offers an opportunity to learn more about breast health, explore available resources, enjoy games and conversation, and connect with others in a welcoming, judgment-free environment.
Guests will also be able to take a sneak peek at the brand-new MRI machine!
Attendees who are due for breast screening can choose to have their mammogram completed during the event, but appointments must be booked in advance. Guests without a scheduled appointment are welcome to attend and will have the opportunity to book a future mammogram.
Whether attending to learn, connect with friends or take the next step in breast screening, Girls’ Night Out events at BIK are designed to make prioritizing breast health a more comfortable and empowering experience.
