As YGK Healthcare Champions, our mission is to empower individuals from all walks of life to join together in support of our community’s health care through Kingston Health Science Centre (KHSC) and Providence Care. We strive to ignite a passion for philanthropy and social responsibility, welcoming everyone to be part of our efforts to cultivate a brighter future for our hospitals and programs.

What the Champions Have Accomplished
- Between 2020 and 2022 the Champions raised over $220,000 to purchase Vcreate technology for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Kingston General Hospital.
- In May 2023, the Champions raised over $38,000 at their first event, “A Night to Remember”, to support mental health at our health-care sites in Kingston. The Stand Up to Stigma campaign received $10,000 towards their annual conference which focused on compassion fatigue in health care workers. Providence Manor received $28,000 to support the purchase of an Omi Mobile Projection Machine.
- On August 22, 2024, the group hosted their first annual golf tournament, at the Loyalist Golf and Country Club, and raised $40,000 for equipment for the Rehabilitation Unit at Providence Care Hospital, bringing their total fundraising to just under $300,000!
