After helping raise hundreds of millions of dollars for hospitals and other public institutions across Canada, veteran philanthropy leader Paul McIntyre Royston is joining the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF) as its new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). 

Despite heavy rain and soggy conditions, 148 golfers came together at the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club for the sixth annual Power of Hope Golf Tournament, raising an impressive $205,000 for prostate cancer care.

The latest fundraising total brings the tournament’s six-year contribution to $945,000, helping support prostate cancer treatment and the A. Britton Smith Q. C. Robotic Surgery Program at Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC).

When John Jenah learned that only two hospitals in Ontario offered a groundbreaking treatment for men with enlarged prostates, he saw an opportunity to make a lasting difference.

Through the Paul B. Helliwell Foundation, John made a transformative gift through University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF) that helped launch Kingston Health Sciences Centre’s (KHSC) new laser enucleation program, bringing advanced, minimally invasive care to patients closer to home for patients across southeastern Ontario.
