Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) is our region’s largest acute and ambulatory care academic hospital. During an unprecedented era of rapid change in health care, KHSC has continued to serve the patient population with excellence and innovation.
But the time has come to build the hospital of the future for the people of southeastern Ontario. Much of the aging infrastructure at the Kingston General Hospital (KGH) site is no longer sustainable without a significant investment in new construction.
The needs of an aging population, the rise in chronic disease, advancements in medical technology and equipment, breakthroughs in research and the call to continue to be a centre of academic excellence for the next generation of health care visionaries all depend on transforming health care today.
Leaders from across KHSC are planning for the future with a spirit of determination and a commitment to innovation and partnership. It is an incredible challenge but an exciting opportunity.
But they cannot do it alone. KHSC needs the community to come together, now more than ever.
Join us by supporting a bold new vision for health care in southeastern Ontario.
