Brian and Nancy Cosgrove have pledged $100,000 to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF), over ten years, which will support the rebuilding project at Kingston Health Sciences Centre’s (KHSC) Kingston General Hospital (KGH) site in appreciation of the care that Nancy received from the cardiac team.

Although this is their first pledge, the Cosgrove’s have a long history of health care support. Dating back to 1999, they have supported the second MRI campaign, cancer programs, and the nursing and physiotherapy teams at the KGH site.

“We are so fortunate to live in a community where we have world-class physicians and care,” says Nancy Cosgrove, generous donor. “They gave me my life back. The inspiring team guided us through this treatment with compassion and expertise, and for that I am grateful.”

“We are incredibly appreciative of the Cosgrove’s support,” says Dr. David Pichora, President and CEO, KHSC. “Our massive rebuilding project will allow us to expand our capacity and adopt innovation for the services that help families, like the Cosgrove family, stay healthy. Their generous gift will help us care for southeastern Ontario’s growing needs.”

“UHKF is thankful for what donors, like the Brian and Nancy, have helped us achieve,” says Susan Creasy, Chair, Campaign Team, UHKF. “The new patient tower at KHSC’s KGH site is just one of the ways we are planning for the future of health care, and this gift will support a bold, new vision for health care in southeastern Ontario.”
