Providence Care is southeastern Ontario’s leading provider of aging, mental health and rehabilitative care. Building on the success of the Providence Care Hospital, opened in 2017, they are taking the next step in their incredible journey of innovation and compassion, developing the long-term care home of the future.
Providence Manor will be relocated to Providence Village, the historic Heathfield site owned by the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul. Pending Ministry approval, beds will be expanded from 243 to 320. The new facility will offer a more accessible location and will better meet the needs of long-term care residents and their families: larger rooms with wider doorways, improved lifts and ease of access to green space.
For those families who will inevitably face the need for 24/7 care—when aging at home is no longer possible—having access to a centre of excellence for nursing care will be a gift to our community for generations to come.
