The Quinte-St. Lawrence Building Trades Council has officially joined the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation’s (UHKF) lottery fundraiser, UHKF 50/50, as the presenting sponsor. The council came forward with a generous $50,000 sponsorship in support of the fundraiser.

The UHKF 50/50 is an online monthly lottery. It allows community members to support local health care in Kingston while getting a chance to win cash prizes! So far, UHKF has awarded more than $150,000 in prizes. Every ticket purchased helps support the areas of greatest priority at Kingston Health Sciences Centre and Providence Care.

“We support UHKF because of their great work to help the hospitals bring new healthcare technology to our community, resulting in first-class patient care for our loved ones,” says Jason Kish, a representative from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 115 (IBEW). “Our members look forward to contributing to local health care and carrying out our shared goal of ensuring patients in our region receive the best care possible.”

The Quinte-St. Lawrence Building Trades Council represents trades men and women in Kingston. The following are trades within the Quinte-St. Lawrence Building Trades Council:

The Quinte-St. Lawrence Building Trades Council’s support will also mean an additional $500 early bird draw every month, offering even more chances for ticket holders to win in the UHKF 50/50.

“We are thrilled to partner with Quinte-St. Lawrence Building Trades Council,” says Lori Faggiani, Director of Healthcare Engagement and Sustainability at UHKF. “This partnership will allow for more early bird draws which we are excited to roll out in January. When you win, our hospitals win; therefore, we all win!”

“It is with great joy and sincere happiness that the members of the Sheet Metal Workers & Roofers International Association Local #269 in Kingston Ontario can support UHKF,” says Paul Reynolds, a representative from the Sheet Metal Workers and Roofers Association #269. “All of our members and their families rely so much on the first-class healthcare services provided by the caring staff in our local hospitals.”

“We are very proud to sponsor the UHKF 50/50 lottery,” says Brad Hill, a representative from the Quinte-St. Lawrence Building Trades Council. “Please join your local tradesmen and women and help support our local hospitals by buying a UHKF 50/50 ticket.”
