With the support of the community, the second annual Power of Hope golf tournament raises a remarkable $174,000 for local prostate cancer care.

Raising funds, awareness and hope for men’s health in our region, the Power of Hope golf tournament welcomed 140 participants on August 29, 2022.

"The second annual Power of Hope Golf Tournament was a tremendous success!" says Mike Laframboise, Tournament Chair. "With the support of many donors, the great group of volunteers and a full field of golfers, we were able to raise $174,000, which will be used in the fight against prostate cancer in Kingston.  We are very pleased with the $73,000 increase this year’s tournament raised and are looking forward to our third annual tournament next year on August 28, 2023."

Over the next five years, the Power of Hope founder Mike Laframboise and his team of volunteers pledge to raise $500,000 through the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation to purchase equipment for men’s prostate health at Kingston Health Sciences Centre.
