Join the 2026 Walk for Awareness!

This September, Breast Cancer Action Kingston (BCAK) is holding their 32nd annual Walk for Awareness.

Join them, in person, at Lake Ontario Park for an active afternoon supporting members, family and friends affected by breast cancer.

There is no set distance for the walk, however the 2.3km loop trail between Lake Ontario Park and Elevator Bay Park offers amazing waterfront views and takes an average of 40 minutes to complete. It's a great trail for walking, jogging or running, so lace up your sneakers for a fun afternoon of community.

Cost

  • $20 - Walkers ages 13+
  • Free - Walkers ages 12 and under

Proceeds from the walk are donated through University Hospitals Kingston Foundation to support local cancer research projects at Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) as well as BCAK's Post-Operative Puffy Pillow Program (POPPP). The POPPP program provides a comfort pillow, drain bag pouch and information about the organization to patients at the time of breast cancer surgery at KHSC, Brockville General Hospital or Belleville General Hospital.

BCAK invites everyone to come early, browse craft items available, enjoy the festivities and connect.

For more information on 2026 registration, please visit BCAK's website or call their office at 613-531-7912.
