Sister Dorothy Fournier Award for Volunteerism

Recognizing outstanding volunteer commitment.

In 2020, UHKF established the Sister Dorothy Fournier Award for Volunteerism to recognize the outstanding contribution of long-time UHKF volunteer, Sister Dorothy (“Sister D”).

The award is granted to an individual, organization or community group who has demonstrated outstanding volunteer commitment by dedicating their time to UHKF in support of work efforts, event preparation and mission moments, all to benefit health care in Kingston.

2026 Award Recipient: Adrian Brookes

Adrian was inspired by his own surgical experience at KHSC in 2020 to become a dedicated and passionate volunteer. He is recognized for his creativity, hands-on involvement, and leadership across numerous campaigns and community events. From parade initiatives to health-care fundraising efforts both individually and as a part of the YGK Healthcare Champions, his contributions consistently go above and beyond. Adrian’s enthusiasm and commitment continue to inspire others and strengthen support for health care in Kingston and southeastern Ontario!
