As the end of the calendar year approaches, many donors will give generously through University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF) in support of patients and programs at Kingston Health Sciences Centre and Providence Care.
No one knows how long the current Canada Post strike will go on, but it may impact donors’ ability to send donations by mail. Fortunately, there are several alternative and easy ways to give to UHKF.
People can make gifts directly through the UHKF website or by calling 613-549-5452. Donations can also be dropped off at the UHKF office, located at 55 Rideau Street, Suite 4, Kingston, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
All gifts received before December 31, 2024, will qualify for a receipt that aligns with the 2024 tax year. All donations made online automatically generate a digital receipt. Those signed up for monthly donations will receive a consolidated receipt after year end. UHKF will continue to process all other gifts as they are received and will mail those out once the strike ends.
Should the strike continue into the New Year, UHKF will look into alternative methods of getting receipts to donors. In the interim, should people wish to have their tax receipt before the strike ends, please call the UHKF office to make pickup arrangements.
Donors are essential to helping our health-care organizations continue to provide critical care and support to those who need it most.
Please consider making a gift through UHKF this holiday season and help build a healthier tomorrow.
