With the support of the community, the first annual Power of Hope Golf Tournament raises a remarkable $94,000 for local prostate cancer care.

Raising funds, awareness and hope for men’s health in our region, the Power of Hope Golf Tournament welcomed a little over 100 participants on August 30, 2021.

"The first annual Power of Hope Golf Tournament was a tremendous success!" says Mike Laframboise, Tournament Chair. "With the support of many donors, the great group of volunteers and a full field of golfers, we were able to raise $94,000, which will be used in the fight against prostate cancer in Kingston. We are looking forward to our second annual tournament next year on August 29, 2022."

“We are incredibly grateful for the support of the Power of Hope committee, sponsors and donors. We are looking forward to next year’s golf tournament,” says Wayne Owens, Board Chair at the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation. “This generous gift will allow our hospital to advance prostate cancer care, benefitting the patients, families and caregivers in our region.”
